One of my favourite spots in Mackay! The food and coffee are super tasty, and you can really tell everything’s made with love. The staff are always friendly, professional, and make you feel welcome. The service is quick, and they really care about their customers. Perfect place to chill with family or friends. Totally recommend it!

I honestly can’t thank Kirsty enough for her kindness and amazing service. She completely saved the day with a very last-minute lunch catering order. Even with the short notice and multiple orders, she still managed to fit me in and was so accommodating the whole way through. I also want to give a shout-out to the lovely ladies at the front. You can tell they genuinely enjoy what they do, everyone was greeted with big smiles and such warm, friendly service. This café has quickly become my go-to spot whenever I’m up north. Thank you all for going above and beyond! Made sure to buckle my sandwiches in - they were a hit!
I stopped in at 9th Lane Grind and ordered a coffee with the zucchini/corn fritters — both were excellent. The coffee was smooth and well-made, and the fritters were fresh, full of flavour, and nicely balanced. I added scrambled tofu on the side, which was a standout — soft, light, and with a subtle curry flavour that paired perfectly with the fritters. It made the meal feel even more satisfying while still being wholesome and healthy. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the service was friendly and efficient. Overall, it was a really enjoyable breakfast — I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend the zucchini/corn fritters with the scrambled tofu if you’re after something delicious and a little different!
Was extremely busy on both days I visited, but the (Grinders) coffee was good and correct temperature. I had a tonkatsu sandwich for lunch which was delicious and went back for breakfast and had Turkish eggs with haloumi - definitely very tasty. This cafe wasn’t here last time I was in Mackay, but I’m sure it will be successful as the food is delicious and multiple staff actually asked for feedback and genuinely seemed to care about customer experience! Well done!
Very busy so must be doing something right. 15 minute wait for a coffee. Dunno about dogs where I'm eating, especially big ones. Friendly staff. Different stuff on the menu which was good.
Iv been here a few times. The food is not cheap however its worth every cent. The meals i habe had here are always fresh and quiet large. The one i had today was quiet spicy, the coffee is always good its just as good as melbourne coffee!!!!
